Guadua

Guadua is our smallest room and, quietly, a lot of people's favourite. Everything in it is built from Colombian guadua bamboo by a workshop in Santa Elena: the bed frame, the shelving, the desk that folds flat against the wall.

It's designed around one person travelling well rather than two travelling cheaply. Excellent desk, excellent light, excellent mattress, and a window that catches the afternoon breeze off the mountains.
